About Me

Welcome! I am a Fulbright Scholar applying machine learning tools and data analytics techniques to the domain of accounting and finance. I am a senior lecturer at the East West University, Bangladesh. where I teach DSA 5045: Machine Learning for Finance, DSA 5047: Data Analytics for Finance at the MSc in Data Science and Analytics program.

I earned my MSc in Accounting and Analytics from the Rochester Institute of Technology and my MBA and BBA in Accounting & Information Systems from University of Dhaka. My academic work has been published in the Asian Journal of Accounting Research, International Journal of Disclosure and Governance, International Journal of Sustainability in Higher Education, and Economics Bulletin, among other outlets. My research explores application of machine learning to analyze unstructured data from platforms such as social media, and company websites, and to see how this modern information environment creates new challenges and opportunities for corporate transparency and impacts capital market efficiency. I have taught undergraduate level accounting and finance, and am a certified data analyst from Google.
